The Independence Day of India is annually Celebrated on Every 15th August as National Holiday in India. Our country got freedom from British Rule on 15 August 1947. British rules on the Indian people over 200 years. 15 August reminds us of the new beginning of India after independence. India’s gaining of independence was a tryst with destiny, as the struggle for freedom was a long and tiresome one, witnessing the sacrifices of many freedom fighters, who laid down their lives on the line.

Independence comes with the partition of India into two countries one in India and another in Pakistan. The partition was accompanied by violent riots and mass casualties, and the displacement of nearly 15 million people due to religious violence. On independence day every year prime minister and president of India addressed to the nation and the entire event is broadcast by Doordarshan India National Broadcaster usually begins with the Shenai music by Late Ustad Bismillah Khan.

Highlights of this year Independence Day :

1.Scraping of Article370: Free From Article 370 and Article 35 A that cause No growth in the part of Jammu & Kashmir and also no growth in Kashmir people. Now Road Map to growth starts with the removal of Article 370 and Article 35A.

2.New Union Territories: For Better control Jammu & Kashmir, it’s divided into two union territories one part is J&K and the second part is Ladakh. No more two flags and constitutions. One Nation and One Constitution will be applied to the region.

3.Triple Talaq: An unconstitutional Act No More Triple talaq with Muslim women free from bad practice in name of Islam. Now it comes with criminal affects anyone who does triple talaq has criminal consequences.

4.Floods & Water Conservation: A flood and water conservation is a need in the whole country that is why a ministry of Jal Shakti has been formed. Every Year Flood is a problem we need to conserve water for peoples. Many people lack access to water even 70 years after independence. Work on the Jal Jeevan Mission will progress with great vigor in the year to come.

5.Plastic Free India: The Next Big Movement will start on 2nd October to make India free from single-use plastic. On Diwali and other festivals let us gift people cloth bags instead of plastics. PM Modi also urged the startups to come up with the ideas to recycle plastics in the country.

6.$5 Trillion Economy: Current we became $3 trillion economies. In the last 70years, the country was a $2 trillion economy. we are looking to making the nation a $5 trillion economy. To support backbone mega-merger in 10 public sector banks into four mega state-owned lenders will act as a building block for achieving the $5 trillion economy target.

7.Infrastructure Building: In the Next 5 years Rs 100 lakh crore will invest in country infrastructures like roads, railway, bridges, and hospitals. Aim to reach among the first 50 nations in ease of doing business.
