Subscription based platform for testing tools founded in early 2011 by Ritesh Arora and Nakul Aggarwal in Mumbai. They gained exposure from developers and companies around the world to test the apps and check the performance of websites from different browsers. BrowserStack has over 36000 paid customers globally and 2 Million registered developers in more than 135 countries using their service .

Many companies spend big bucks building their own testing suites, but these require constant updating and management. The advantage of a system like BrowserStack is that they are updating the platform for their customers and providing a way to automate a wide variety of testing across different environments.

On their Official Blog :SAN FRANCISCO Jan. 30, 2018 — BrowserStack, the most reliable web and mobile browser testing platform on the market, today announced a $50 million Series A investment from Accel for a minority equity position.

The investment will fuel Browser Stack’s continued commitment to being the testing infrastructure for the internet and allows the company to expand its world-class team and raise global brand awareness. The deal was led by Accel Partners Ryan Sweeney, Nate Niparko, and Shekhar Kirani, and as part of the deal, Ryan Sweeney will join Browser Stack’s board of directors. The company also announced the opening of its new North American headquarters in San Francisco.

The six-year-old Mumbai-based company has closed its maiden investment round of about $50 million led by venture fund Accel Partners ( Accel US and India) valuing it at more than $400 million, people familiar with the talks said. Its bootstrapped their startup .

Company has 125 employees over three offices in San Francisco, Dublin, and Mumbai. The company planning to double their number of employee in Next Year .Customers include big name like Microsoft, Bose, RBS, Twitter, and Wikimedia .
